The Genesis Core 20 is a hardtail mountain bike that retails at around £750 - a highly competitve price point.
The Core 20 frame is made from taped and ovalised tubes which gives it an old school look - simple and distinctive. The 20 uses 6061 T6 double-butted tubes to create a stiff and strong frame. The head tube is reinforced with gussetting with curved chainstays.
The Genesis Core 20 gets Rockshox Tora K 210mm suspension forks, which come with an aluminium steerer. The fork works well, and has an adjustable lockout.
The components on the Genesis Core 20 are good with a mixture of Alivio and Deore. Wheels are light and comes fitted with Conti Mountain King tyres, although they might not suit everyone.
Overall, the Genesis Core 20 is a good bike with lightweight wheels, a good fork - the components are OK, the money has been spent on good wheels and forks instead. Overall, good value.
Good value, with good forks and wheels.
