The SPECIALIZED Rockhopper definately looks more expensive than it is, with it's cool looking white paintjob and red wheels. It retails for around £700, and is a classic bike. Specialized uses it's excellent M4 aluminium for the frame - which leaves good clearances for even the muckiest of riding.
The SPECIALIZED Rockhopper gets a Suntour SF11-XCR fork which gives 80mm of travel. It doesnt give much adjustment, and does feel cheap on a bike costing £700. Wheels are Alex rims with Specialized hubs, with the most striking paint job you will ever see - it's a either love it or hate it combination. The groupset is a mix of Alivio and Deore.
Great frame, which is light and feels high quality. This means the bike feels fast, snappy and fun.
The fork and components are where the money has been saved, however you will replace these over time so perhaps the money has been spent in the right place?
