  Dead-centre, always on target, was what we said about 2010’s Core bikes. What Mountain Bike magazine agreed – the Core 50 won their 13-bike hard tail group-test with its unbeatable combination of technical trail handling ability and impressive turn of speed. In 2011 it goes a step further - Fast and light yet capable of handling any Trail Centre’s Black Runs, with the Core you can have it all in one package. For 2011 we’ve taken the triple-butted ALX-9 6069-T6 Core 40 and 50 frames a step further. Using the geometry tweaks developed while working on the Latitude Ti and 853 we’ve got the best out of the new generation of tapered steerers and bolted 20mm axles on light 120mm forks. To us, the definition of UK hardtails is this mix of technical handling ability, comfort and light weight, offering complete all-round performance. The Core 40 takes this definition to the trail.
