Evans Cycles have stock of the 2009 modelScott Scale Ltd 2009 Mountain Bike - and have knocked £750 off the whopping £6449.99 RRP down to a more acceptable £5749.99.
The Scott Scale (In my view, as an ex cross country racer and now all day rider) is the best bike on the market. We ride in a group - so there is always some competition on the hills, and it's nice to pip your mates where possible - the Scale frame is so good at climbing it beggars belief. Set up with a fork that can lock out, it climbs like a road bike. Decending you might think that a hardtail would throw you around like a bucking bronco - well again it sits still, it is comfortable and remains composed. Singletrack is where the short wheelbase and tight angles give you payback - as you can throw it around like a BMX.

Compared to my friends on their Sparks - it's easy to see why they ride them - all day comfort. I am still young, and they complain about back problems etc so yes the Scale is a little racey for those wanting a comfortable ride - but is worth every penny.
