A new freeride trail is being developed in Gisburn Forest, close to Settle in North Yorkshire.
The new trail is to stretch to 400m when completed for Spring 2011. The Forestry Commission have supported the project and expert trailbuilders have been constructing the route.
Evans Cycles are now importing Jamis Bikes for 2011. The brand is one of the first makers of mountain bikes from back in 1983 - at the start of the sport.

The South Down's is becoming a National Park, and as part of the upgrade to this status as many as 4 new Mountain Biking Centres could be opened by 2015.
£1m has been put a side by the European body Collabor8. This means new trails, trail centres and more opportunities in the south east of England. The first will be Stanmer Park in Brighton.
Other sites include Horton Forest, Arundel and Friston Forest near Eastbourne.

£5m budget has been earmarked for a new exciting cycling project in South Wales.
The project due to launch in June 2011 will include new off road mountain bike trails at Afan and Cwmcarn, a new trail centre at Gethin and the promotion of Margam Park for international mountain bike events.
Work is due to start late in 2011 with completion due in 2013. The area is already packed with awesome trails - so this new investment will make the area a mountain biking hotspot.
The 2012 Olympics mountain bike course is now 60% complete - the course at Hadleigh Farm in Essex is a 5km circuit around 550 acres of land owned by the Salvation Army.
Its a mixture of rolling hills and woodland including steep drops, berms and rocks downhill sections to test the hardest of Olympic athletes.
The farm is expected to accommodation around 20,000 spectators.

Stressed occurring at the steering tube are thus absorbed and ensure a high degree of frame stability along the direction of impact. The oversized diameter of seat tube, bottom tube and chain stays on the other hand are responsible for very good lateral rigidity.
